As per my previous post, Jack and I became investors in Elmside Single Malt Whisky Company in 2017. However, one of my partners (and the largest shareholders) became very ill and his involvement was minimal and Jack, of course, died. So some of the early passion I had in the venture also died. Moreover, we had another three years before we had any mature stock and the cost to get there was north of $2M. So when one of my partners offered to buy my shares, I agreed and I am no longer a shareholder in Elmside. However, the first barrel when bottled will be dedicated to Jack and called “The Jack 1996”.
