I attended the Memorial Service for Mardi on 1 February 2019. Mardi was prepared to move mountains to get Jack back to University and I am forever in her debt as we did just that, well for a short period anyway. She died in January 2019 after a short illness. She even offered to give Jack a desk in her office and work with him if it would help him overcome his new mental challenges following the two major surgeries, chemotherapy and intensive radiation treatment. Mardi tried; we tried and Jack persevered but it was not sustainable. R.I.P. Mardi and thank you.
